Malwords State of the Union: COVID Dead, Country Stolen, MAGA Leadership MIA, Serbian Kids Still Kick Our Asses--7/31/22

We recite it like a creed at the end of every issue of Malwords Weekly, but sometimes--like tornadoes-- it’s easy to lose sight of what we're chasing:

Malwords are keywords weaponized for information warfare,… verbal viruses for a) silencing dissent through control of language, narrative, and speech, b) increasing public tolerance for government-sanctioned atrocity and c) emboldening officials to commit acts of atrocity.

Tornado-chasing-- for all the geeky weather terms, high-speed drama, cool gizmos, and stuff flying through the air-- is about the frame-by-frame capture of disaster--the destruction of property, livelihoods, and (sometimes) lives, with nothing left to the imagination.

Malwords-tracking-- for all the geeky talk about WPM's, Colo's, pre- and post-Curve multiples, and profitability-- is about the numerical capture of atrocity--the destruction of society, of livelihoods, and (too often) lives... with nothing left to the imagination.

Rarely do the storm-chasers go back to aid the victims. If they do it's to snap rad pics of houses torn off their foundations, trucks tossed into rivers, and boats stuck in trees. Otherwise it's on to the next county.

While tornadoes are still seen as an act of God, malwords-- as verbal viruses injected into the public discourse-- are clearly acts of man. And they precipitate in man-made atrocities.

But so wrapped around the axle are we in trying to figure out what the Malwords are portending, that we have never gone back to assess what atrocities actually took place.

With three and a half years of COVID malwords data, it's time to do that.

And what we're finding is nothing less than we've been hypothesizing all along--

A government-media COVID malwords campaign to strip communities non grata of rights, assets, livelihoods, and lives... and then bury the evidence.

We've seen it happen at least twice over the last century on US soil, in a pattern so familiar that we've now got a word for it-- the Malwords Curve.

What Did We See?

Between January 2020 and July 2023, we tracked frequencies and volumes of 32 COVID-Era keywords across 200+ English-language news publications generating 300,000 unique articles per month. These keywords included terms like COVID, PANDEMIC, VACCINE, UKRAINE, LOCKDOWN, INFLATION, RACIST, ABORTION, EXTREMISM, UNVACCINATED, BLACK LIVES MATTER, CONSPIRACY THEORY, DISINFORMATION, etc.

See below for a full listing along with volume and frequency stats.

What we saw was a basket of terms that collectively and individually follow an 11-13 month lifecycle that brackets (with exception of UKRAINE) at January 2021, and then enters into steady decline.

First, a little background:

Malwords strength is measured by frequency of appearance in the published body of language (corpus), and expressed in words per million (WPM) linguistic units (words, numbers, symbols, acronyms, etc).

Malword WPM’s typically follow a three-phase lifecycle, comprising the following:

Pre-Curve test-markets the new term and puts up the store front;
Curve is launch phase, characterized by a rapid, exponential liftoff and sudden plunge;
Post-Curve is a long, asymptotic tail that follows a final, brief uptick close to the cycle mark, during which primary objective atrocities are implemented.

The Malwords Curve above comes from Japanese Mass Incarceration (1942-45), with characteristic markings of a Secondary (< 50 WPM) Term, with a 6-7 month cycle.

In the COVID Era, six out of the top eight Primary (Average WPM > 50 WPM, > 250,000 instances) Terms follow the same 11-13-month Pre-to Post-Curve cycle.

Why is that?

Whoever knows isn't telling. But it might be fun to share a statistical observation and a conspiracy theory:

First, the 50 WPM threshold.

Research suggests that the average person hears between 20,000 and 30,000 words during the course of a 24-hour period, so if a particular word shows up in the the news corpus at a frequency of over 50 WPM, chances of hearing that term at least once in your daily consumption of news is pretty good. As of this month, we're down to hearing about COVID and PANDEMIC maybe twice at day. At their peaks, we were getting bombarded with these terms over fifty times daily— twice every hour—PsyOps Levels.

Second, the 11-13 month cycle.

Many speak of the 2020 presidential election and the 2022 midterms as America's Color Revolution. Color Revolution refers to a series of pro-democracy protests that hijacked post-Soviet states during the early 21st century. The US played a role, mostly via NGO's, after the Bulldozer Revolution of 2000, in which a student movement called Otpor! (Resistance!) toppled Serbian president Slobodan Milosevic in twelve months, and sent him off to The World Court in The Hague to stand trial for war crimes and genocide--- all without firing a shot.

The Bulldozer Revolution was seen as the secret sauce, and the State Department began injecting the democracy virus into student movements across Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Members of Otpor!, whose logo was the raised clenched fist (twenty years before BLM), were dispatched to export revolution to Georgia (Rose, 2003), Ukraine (Orange, 2004), Kyrgyzstan, (Tulip, 2005), and Abkhazia (Tangerine, 2005). Otpor! would become the inspiration behind the Arab Spring uprisings in Tunisia, Egypt and Iran (2010-12), and the Euromaidan protests in Ukraine (2013-14).

Otpor! lifted its blueprint from the Father of Color Revolution, University of Massachusetts political science professor Gene Sharp (1928-2018). Sharp was co-founder of the Albert Einstein Institution, a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing nonviolent action in political conflict. His works on peaceful overthrow of autocratic regimes include From Dictatorship to Democracy: A conceptual framework for liberation, and 198 Methods of Nonviolent Action, and have been translated into over thirty languages— the first was Serbian, by the Otpor! students— with support from US defense, intelligence, and diplomatic and security agencies.

Sharp's disciples summarize the active ingredients for a color revolution as follows:

agitating for elections, results of which activists already know the unpopular incumbent will not accept,
united, organized opposition capable of mobilizing tens of thousands of demonstrators to protest the election fraud
aligned media capable of getting the word out about the stolen election
divisions among pro-regime forces

And if 2020 was the American Color Revolution as some have described, the weapon that Obama holdovers in defense, intelligence, and diplomatic and security agencies turned upon the country was powerful and proven. It had seen action across dozens of theaters, cultures, political terrains and power permutations. And it was capable of taking out unfriendly rulers within twelve months, if not the academic year.

Wash, rinse, repeat.

The Numbers Say Atrocity Accomplished... What Atrocity?

The result is so breathtakingly massive that it grows larger the further it recedes into distance. Suspended, abrogated, diluted, or under siege are:

First Amendment free speech and freedom of assembly, right to petition for redress of grievances
Second Amendment right to self-defense
Fourth Amendment protection from unreasonable searches and seizures
Sixth Amendment guarantee of trial by impartial jury
Seventh Amendment guarantee of trial by jury in matters exceeding twenty dollars
Fourteenth Amendment protections from deprivation of life, liberty or property without due process of law.
Twenty-Fifth Amendment for removing a President unable to discharge the powers and duties of the office due to cognitive incompetence and treasonable compromise.

Collateral damage includes:

Destruction of public safety through allowing borders to remain unprotected and managed by human-trafficking cartels.
Loss of economic stability through supply chain destruction, out of control spending, and skyrocketing prices.
Loss of bodily autonomy by requiring submission to injection of an experimental vaccine in order to participate in society
Censorship of those questioning election outcomes, the efficacy and safety of experimental vaccines, or a minor's decision to be surgically or chemically castrated
Weaponization of law enforcement and the judicial system against critics and opponents of the Democrat Party.
Permanent funding of bio-security industrial complex and its Woke spawn the climate industrial complex through elimination of the debt ceiling until the end of Biden’s first term
Unelected administrative class administering cruel and unusual regulations that threaten citizens' lives liberties, and pursuit of happiness— punishing the use of gasoline-powered vehicles and equipment, outlawing basic household appliances.
A populace prostrate before its own government-- A generation of young adults retreating into their iPhones from a reality that denies family formation, begs for more censorship and government control. An opposition petrified to take any action, retreats from reality that denies the ravages of experimental vaccined and election fraud, to gather in massive rallies and blow off steam.

A malwords-driven, government sponsored atrocity at a scale almost too massive to comprehend…

And the judgment of a nation almost too Biblical to imagine…

Destruction of Our Republic. Replaced with Their Democracy.

Atrocity Accomplished. What Next?

It’s time for Americans to take an L. We've never been good at it. Hence Vietnam. Hence Iraq. Hence Afghanistan. And a lot of things that could have ended a lot sooner, with a lot less blood and treasure poured out on the ground.

We got hosed, Tommy.

Some may call it a color revolution, but it was more like a counter-revolution. A coup, you might even say.

We got hosed.

And bulldozed. With the same mode of attack by which the Deep State took on or took out at least ten other autocrats who ran afoul of US interests.

We just never thought the weapon would be turned on us.

Boy, were we a bunch of sitting ducks.

What's Done Is Done

COVID did what it came to do. Destroy the Representative Republic, replace with Mob Rule. That has been done. Babylon is fallen. America is lost. You may live under something that some people call a democracy, or see what looks like the vestiges of one. But it's their democracy... if it is democracy at all. In this life you win some and you lose some. This one we lost.
Conservatism failed. Its leaders refused to exercise sacrificial leadership-- to put themselves in harm's way for the purpose of inspiring their followers to acts of courage and take down an entrenched Uniparty and its security apparatus. The MAGA Megaphone Class includes American men and women of highest accomplishment— decorated military generals, veteran political figures, television and online celebrities, successful businesspeople, respected academics, physicians, and lawyers with extensive resources, connections, and millions of followers clamoring for their attention. But as leaders, they failed their country. They would have been no match for a bunch of Serbian twenty-somethings who took down an entrenched, thuggish dictator and his security apparatus twenty-three years ago.

Okay Mr/Ms Firebrand, you'll take a bullet to free Iraq, Taiwan, or Ukraine, but you won't take one to free your own country. Then how about shutting down the government until every J6 political prisoner is released or pardoned? Will you lead from the front into that danger?

The Malwords worked. Sure, the theory is not perfect. But we know when government and media are cooking up an atrocity. Because language leading up to mass action is similar to that leading up to individual action. With one big difference: mass behavior tells are much easier to track. They are less redacted, less evasive, and less self-conscious.

Because while our workplaces, drinking places, and safe spaces may abound in content-free conversation, most people do not publish what they are not thinking.

What's Next?

New Malwords. We're tracking tyranny now. What are the vectors and indicators of the next atrocity? A couple of terms that leap to mind in the new era--TRANS, GENDER-AFFIRMING, LARGE LANGUAGE, GENERATIVE, CENSOR, BIOMETRICS. What else? How about following some FREEDOM keywords for a change? Sure the State-Run Media buried LAB LEAK, EXCESS MORTALITY, MYOCARDITIS, VACCINE INJURY, PARENT* RIGHTS, but this is like body language— stare blankly and your fingers chatter, stick your hands in your pockets and your feet shuffle. We can figure this out.

New Leadership. Much of Gene Sharp's genius lay in his discovery of a window of opportunity for any population to effect significant change in a state. It happens when subjects see through the veil of systems keeping them obedient—

institutions (police, courts, regulatory bodies, etc.);
cultural assumptions ( god cult of the Emperor, dignity of the office of the president, etc.);
sanctions (imprisonment, fines, ostracism);
rewards (titles, wealth, fame).

—and recognize that they are the source of their ruler's power. It is a powerful moment. Refuse your obedience, and they are without power.

Tyranny is only as powerful as we allow it to be. And when those who sound the call to action are afraid to gum up the gears of Bidenomics that is minting a billionaire daily— because that would be unpatriotic— they are telling you all you need to know.

We are also sure that some jobs were lost following the Boston Tea Party, but those who took the fall no doubt went onto wear their axings as badges of honor, angel investors in the world's greatest experiment in human liberty.

Our best and brightest MAGA Megaphone Class would have been no match for the bunch of Serbian twenty-somethings who took down the Putin-nasty Slobodan Milosevic and his security apparatus in 2000

Otpor! (Resistance!) Check it out: The Serbian Bulldozer Revolution of 2000 makes a Trump Rally look like a county fair. Unlike Senile Joe and Merrick Magoo, Giggler Kamala, and Homeland Octopus, Milosevic was a nasty son of a bitch, and the way those kids made an ass of him is a joy to read. The 2020 Election was not a color revolution. It was a heist—elites rising up against the masses. The Biden Regime can't believe how easily we (Mike Pence) caved. It was like taking candy from a baby. They walk around thinking they are some kind of gods and can get away with anything. And maybe they can. Don't sweat it. Check out Gene Sharp. If they can do it to us, we can do it to them.

Because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the White House.

It's time to stop chasing atrocities and start chasing liberty.
