Player Of The Week
No, the AIDE pictured was not attacked by a SHARK for giving CONFIDENTIAL testimony to the January 6 Star Chamber. Say her name—Cassidy Hutchinson— for by this time next week she will be remembered as Two Sugars, and not as The Shark That Took Down Trump. And the FIREWORKS were outdoors, after burgers and dogs on the GRILL whose prices are being shot sky-high by FERTILIZER we now have to source from Brazil. Trips to the supermarket require not just a wheelbarrow of cash, but LASER self-defense weapons to get across the parking lot, paid for by WITHDRAWALS from collapsing crypto wallets.
Global Malword Index
The Global Malword Index (GMI), a volume-weighted composite of fifteen key domestic terms, finished out the month in positive territory, up 7% to 2.71, driven by FUEL PRICES (+27%), FOOD SHORTAGES (+29%) and STAGFLATION (+46%). We will be moving these three terms into the daily tracking in the new quarter, dropping WHITE SUPREMACY, DOMESTIC TERROR, and REPLACEMENT THEORY, which continue to underperform in the news corpus, despite best efforts at Regime Media, who also has them on life support.
Volume Movers
Volume players (terms with over 50K instances YTD in the news corpora) , continue to be led by by UKRAINE (-15% 30D) but in a rapidly tightening field. INFLATION (+18% 30D) has eclipsed PANDEMIC on a monthly basis, while ABORTION’s second spike of the year has elevated its June volumes, pulling eyeballs from INFLATION in the dailies.
Daily Thirty
ABORTION finishes out this week at #1 in the dailies, but overall trajectory has it falling back to the critical 50WPM level later this summer. For further discussion check out the discussion in our previous post “The Left Has Lost Control of Language.” The only macro effect of ABORTION’s Second Coming has been to narrow the field and force out the underperforming terms.
Volatility
Something to keep an eye on— ABORTION volatility virtually unchanged since last week—we are in the middle of the action around this malword, volatility is high. This is normal. But check out INFLATION, whose weekly volatility continues to sink, which we have seen to be indicative of a WPM floor from which breakouts typically occur. We saw this prognosticator with ABORTION, and could be in for a summer INFLATION Surprise.
Call To Action
West Virginia vs EPA and Texas vs Biden, while not the most malworded in the news corpus are by far the most significant developments of the week, signalling
End of the Green New Deal through agency over-reach, and
That DC will put Americans in harm’s way to achieve policy goals.
Primary order outcome being the de-legitimizing and the eventual defunding of government and its tentacle agencies. We see this playing out in a recent University of Chicago poll indicating that 3 in 10 respondents expect at some point to take up arms against the Federal government. We’ll be looking for and tracking the malwords indicators of how this sentiment is manifesting in the language, and the likely consequences. Keep it right here at Malwords Weekly
About Malwords
Malwords are keywords weaponized for information warfare. They function within public discourse as intellectual malware, verbal viruses designed to spread quickly for the purposes of a) silencing dissent through control of language, narrative, and speech, b) increasing public tolerance for government-sanctioned atrocity and c) emboldening officials to commit acts of atrocity.
Malword strength is measured by their frequency of appearance in the published body of language (corpus), and expressed in words per million (WPM) linguistic units (words, numbers, symbols, acronyms, etc).
Malword WPM’s typically follow a three-phase lifecycle: Pre-Curve test-markets the new term and puts up the store front; Curve is launch phase, characterized by a rapid, exponential liftoff and sudden plunge; Post-Curve is a long, asymptotic tail and is the period in which primary-objective atrocities are implemented.
