Malwords Hero—And Zero— Of The Week

Since Independence Day, co-founder Ben Cohen of Ben & Jerrys' ice cream fame has made national headlines twice for reporting STOLEN items, one in which he is clearly a perpetrator, the other in which we are all victims.

On July 4, Cohen put out a tweet reminding us that we live on STOLEN LAND, and calling for return to its rightful indigenous owners. This prompted ridicule from all quarters, from calls for a crushing boycott of his eponymous ice cream brand, to an invitation to discuss return of its headquarters to the Abenaki Nation from whom it was appropriated without due process.

Then on Thursday, Cohen was arrested for blocking the entrance to Department of Justice headquarters, by sitting on the sidewalk in the pouring rain, until DC police hauled him away in handcuffs. Cohen was there to protest continued incarceration without trial of Wikileaks publisher Julian Assange, and that our COUNTRY is being STOLEN from us when the government can prosecute journalists whose work it does not like.

At Malwords Weekly, we believe that leaders must lead by example. For both STOLEN items we will make sure Cohen gets due recognition.

In the case of STOLEN LAND, by crowning Ben Cohen Malwords Zero of the Week— calling for a Bud Light-Up of Ben & Jerry's and an #AnheuserBuschChallenge to parent Unilever PLC--as problematic as this will be-- until Ben & Jerry's returns all colonized properties to its rightful indigenous owners, including Cohen's own farm, paying appropriate fines and accrued interest.

In the case of STOLEN COUNTRY, by making Ben Cohen Malwords Hero of the Week-- for his sterling example of leadership that takes on the Deep State and their law enforcement goons with no concern for personal risk.

While all of this may just be liberal activist muscle memory kicking in for Cohen, it represents an instinct completely lacking in Republican, conservative, and MAGA leadership-- at least since Herbert Hoover-- and must be an acquired behavior if MAGA is to replace the ideologically captive Left as champions of the people, and take back the COUNTRY that has been STOLEN from us.

Thou Shalt Not Steal

STOLEN has been a fairly consistent performer in the news corpus, averaging 12.35 WPM over the past decade. So far this year it is up 16% to an all-time high of 14.24 WPM, on STOLEN BASES, CARS, IDENTITIES, ELECTIONS and--just recently--LAND, which does not even rank in the Top 100 collocated terms with STOLEN, but climbed to 0.08 to 7.02 WPM last week with the help of Ben Cohen's tone-deaf tweet.

Numbers don't lie. Theft is a part of life. It always has been, as reflected in the crime stats, in the malwords, and in Scripture itself— ranking at Number 8 in the Top 10 things not to do.

Stealing people's stuff-- horses, cars, oxen, lovers, spouses, identities, gizmos, employees, freedoms, houses, land, thunder-- was a problem long before the indigenous tribes crossed the Alaskan land bridge and colonized America.

Every time you turn around these days, it seems somebody is being exposed, as part of the permanent kleptocracy. Everything not for sale is getting stolen.

And maybe all old hippie Ben is trying to say is that all of us are in on it, himself included-- from the indigenous tribes that stole each other‘s hunting grounds and women, to Black Lives Matter, who found an ingenious way to steal themselves into decent neighborhoods and send their kids to good schools.

And that the safest way to point all that out is to speak ill of the dead.

From the one who steals your breath to the One who takes your last breath, it’s a world built on and addicted to theft. And it’s not going to change anytime soon.

The rest of mankind who were not killed by these plagues still did not repent of the work of their hands; they did not stop worshiping demons, and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone and wood—idols that cannot see or hear or walk. Only Connect!

Because everything is connected. Evil does not arise in a vacuum. It requires its own ecosystem that is always existed, but comes to the fore when people believe their COUNTRY is being STOLEN

as we celebrate the work of our hands--machine learning, vectorized search, large language models, and artificial intelligence whose knowledge will know no bounds but whose wisdom clearly does
as demon worship and possession sexualizes our children and castrates them before they can ever experience their own capacity for orgasm
as the world increasingly looks to convert its paper into fortunes in gold, silver, art, NDT's and crypto, as government printing presses run high speed and out of control
as psychedelics accelerate this lifestyle and become increasingly the best way to get shit done at warp speed and scale.

You see it in the unapologetic addiction to theft, in the Regime's inability to compass its ends legislatively or judicially. And so they just steal-- your freedom of expression, your right to privacy, your right of petition, your medical choice, your bank records, your tax dollars, your luggage.

And give it away to whom they please... to be laundered back at ten cents on the dollar through a maze of LLC's and stashed in offshore bank accounts.

To paraphrase a familiar jingle: Just Take It.

Lead From The Front

And why is nothing done about it? Why are these serial kleptocrats not being publicly collared, tried, stripped of assets, and punished? Ben Cohen points it out by example-- those who are sounding the call are not leading the charge.

If you’re trying to [fight] an issue of injustice, you can scream and yell, you can write but the ultimate thing you can do is get arrested for it — to disobey the unjust law. So that’s what I’m doing and I feel good about it.

For all his hippie-pocrisy over STOLEN LAND, Ben Cohen is still a leader, and knows how to lead from the front when it counts— on STOLEN COUNTRY— something of which Republican / conservative / populist / nationalist /MAGA / Traditional Values leadership remains jaw-droppingly clueless.

Controlling billions in appropriations, and/or representing millions of constituents, and/or with millions of followers, these stars of the populist constellation have the reach, influence, gravitational pull and revenue streams that denizens of the asteroid belt can only dream of.

And they are obligingly happy to slap leather any time— to stand up to the sticks, pose before the cameras, grind out a podcast— and deliver in stentorian volume for the masses who hang onto their every word.

Just do not ask them to march in front, where they may have to take a bullet, brave a baton, breathe teargas, chafe in flexicuffs, and get hauled down to the precinct to have their mugshots taken for all the Morning Joes to mock and ridicule.

A rapsheet for any reason is not compatible with a conservative values, Republican respectability, MAGA memes, or patriotic flag-wearing.

Getting arrested? Jail time? That’s for plebes!

And that is why we are where we are.

The party of the elite still behaves like the party of the people. And the party of the people still behaves like the party of the elite.

Obviously, a few more conversations need to happen before a full transition takes place.

We'll pick on Janice Dean, Fox News weathercaster whose parents-in-law were heartlessly sacrificed to Governor Andew Cuomo’s COVID Killing Fields. Janice took to social media to make her case against the now disgraced Cuomo at the height of his media darling-ship. We urged her-- Janice, you have a righteous cause, you have a voice, you have an audience. Lead a protest to Albany. We will follow you by the busload. What did she do? She took a vacation to Florida to work on her tan. And then came back to hawk her new book. You couldn’t help but feel played.

We'll pick on Lee Zeldin, happy warrior candidate for New York State Governor, who acting Governor Kathy Hochul sent her goons to assassinate. Lee was in the lead, but refused to lead from the front, letting paid-off party elders talk him into conceding before all ballots had been accounted for. Zeldin abandons an army of loyal followers to fend for themselves before Hochul’s Woke holocaust that continues to lay waste to New York. Was it all just a circus? Because that’s what it feels like now. Lee’s left town and he ain’t coming back.

Meanwhile, a torch is trying to be passed. Those who should be taking it up don’t seem to notice it’s being handed to them, too busy elbowing the next generation— the Andy Giuliani’s, the Kathy Barnette’s, the Caroline Leavitt’s— out of the way. They need to learn from the Ben Cohens, and the old hippies who understand the true power of protest. Not in followers, likes, or ad revenue. But in the might of good old-fashioned self-sacrifice.

Imagine the power--not to the Regime, but to the masses-- of seeing duly-elected representatives—a Matt Gaetz, a Marjorie Taylor Greene, a Lauren Boebert, an Andy Biggs, a Kari Lake dragged off in chains to join the J6'ers in the DC prison.
Imagine the power of seeing a Speaker Kevin McCarthy, a Majority Leader Steve Scalise, a Republican Conference Leader Elise Stefanik, a Senator Rand Paul, a Senator Ted Cruz, a Senator JD Vance— teargassed in front of the courts for leading a protest to free them from custody.
Imagine the power of a Joe Rogan, a Steve Bannon, a Ben Shapiro, a Sean Hannity, a Bill Maher, a Jordan Peterson taking rubber bullets in front of the FBI building in a protest against the Secret Police surveillance of houses of worship.
Imagine the power of a Mike Flynn, leading an army of volunteers to the Southern Border—the invasion would stop.
Imagine the power of a Vivek Ramaswamy participating in any of the above-- his numbers would skyrocket.
Imagine the power of a Mike Pence marching arm in arm with any of the above-- his redemption would be complete.

Evil would rejoice for a morning, but by evening a nation would be moved to uprising, and the Obama/Biden junta would collapse and flee town like the circus that it is.

But it won't. Not until disobedience to Soviet-style authority— not just the ability to write or yell into a camera— becomes a learned behavior for the MAGA Megaphone Class.

And until that happens, all we can offer is—

Bad news: Every one of the original leaders of the Irish Easter 1916 Uprising were sentenced to death by firing squad,
Good news: five years later, the Irish people got their STOLEN COUNTRY back.
